Team Malizia

We are Team Malizia, an international offshore sailing team, skippered by Boris Herrmann. We compete in the toughest offshore races around the world and use this unique platform to communicate the excitement of our sport and to inspire ambitious climate action. Through our A Race We Must Win - Climate Action Now! campaign, we combine sailing, science, and education, and we carry our message along with the United Nations Sustainable Developments Goals wheel on our sails.

Our team competed in the two most iconic ocean races in the world: We finished in third place in The Ocean Race 2023 and our skipper Boris will race his second Vendée Globe in November 2024. Since the launch of our new Malizia - Seaexplorer IMOCA race yacht in 2022, we have sailed more than twice around the world within two years. From performing at our best on the water to finding solutions to the climate crisis, we are ready to tackle the challenges to come.
